Information About Mobile Money:

Our History

Mobile Money is an ethically run, responsible company that always puts the customer first. We began trading as the first logbook lender in the UK in 1998. The company started with just a single branch in Redditch, Worcs. in the Midlands, but demand saw the Business grow and expand rapidly.

Mobile Money is British owned, financially independent and lends its own money. We pride ourselves on our open, friendly and responsible approach to lending which we believe helps us build and maintain long term business relationships within the communities we serve and has yielded fantastic customer reviews.

Our People

Our staff are passionate about providing the very best service possible and ensure that our consistently high standards are always maintained which allows us to continue to develop on-going relationships with our customers. We are very proud so say that several members of staff who joined us when the Business first opened are still with us today and we believe that this experience adds real value to the customer service and safety-first approach to lending.

CCTA Membership

We have been members of the CCTA (the Consumer Credit Trade Association) since the very start and we have worked hard alongside them to ensure that their Code of Practice was developed with the customer at its core. We believe every logbook lending business should sign up to the CCTA Code of Practice to ensure there is a consistently high level of customer service as well as the reassurance that anyone securing a logbook loan can do so with confidence and peace of mind.

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)

Mobile Money Limited is authorised and regulated by the FCA. The FCA regulates the financial services industry to ensure firms stick to the rules and consumers don’t fall victim to scams or get tied in to unfair contracts. Their aim is to ensure the financial services industry treats consumers fairly.
